What is Tracker?

A tracker is a piece of code — often a hidden script or pixel — that records your activity and reports it back to a third party, usually to build an advertising profile. Trackers follow you from site to site using cookies, your IP address, and browser fingerprinting. Most pages you visit contain several of them.
