What is ISP?

An ISP (Internet Service Provider) is the company that connects you to the internet, such as your home broadband or mobile network provider. Because all your traffic passes through it, an ISP can see which sites you connect to and, in many places, may log or throttle that activity. Your ISP also assigns the public IP address that identifies you online.
